Motor Coach Tours:  Saratoga Expeditions specializes in tours for groups spending part of a day in Saratoga Springs.  Our step-on guides will introduce travelers to Saratoga’s wide variety of attractions.

Walking Tours:  Saratoga Expeditions provides walking tours, focusing on your group’s specific interest.

Mineral Water.  The waters gave Saratoga its name, and gave it great popularity in the early 19th Century.  Visitors would come to Saratoga specifically to take “the cure”.  Both drinking and bathing in the waters were huge draws.  Today, there still dozens of mineral springs ready to be tasted, and two bathhouses are open.  The optional sipping of mineral water is part of all Saratoga Expeditions tours. (View photos...)

Saratoga Racecourse.  It’s only open six weeks each summer.  It’s also the track where each year the most money is bet in the country.  How much money?  Over ten million dollars a day.  Even if you travel to Saratoga Springs when the track is closed, our Saratoga Expeditions guides will let you know all about the track’s history. Yaddo.  This is the artists’ retreat located in the woods, next door to the track.  Weather, and transportation, permitting, you’ll have a chance to stroll through the gardens and hear about the many famous writers, poets, painters, composers and other artists who have found inspiration at Yaddo. Congress Park and the Spa State Park.  Saratoga Springs boasts two premiere parks.  Congress Park features a former casino built in the 19th century, a bronze sculpture created by the man who created the Lincoln Memorial, even a Victorian carousel.  And, mineral water.  The Spa State Park features the Saratoga Performing Arts Center, a hotel, golf courses, tennis courts, acres and acres of green space, and, yes, mineral water. Saratoga Battlefield.  This is the site of one of the most important battles in American History.  Early in the Revolutionary War, the rebels needed to make a stand against the redcoats.  That’s exactly what happened at the Battle of Saratoga.  Saratoga Expeditions can arrange for your group to travel to the battlefield site, which remains largely farmland and woods more than 225-years after the historic battle. Downtown.  See what makes Saratoga Springs one of the most vibrant downtowns in New York State.  Locally-owned stores, specialty shops, cafes, restaurants, hotels, and Victorian and modern architecture abound, with hardly a “No Vacancy” sign in sight.  Many Saratoga Expeditions tours start and end in the heart of downtown, giving you the chance to experience downtown first hand, before and/or after your tour. Victorian Neighborhoods.  Saratoga Springs is noted for its Victorian architecture.  Scores of 19th century homes have been beautifully restored to their original appearance.  Saratoga Expeditions tours travel through Victorian neighborhoods, giving you a chance to learn about the beautiful homes, and the colorful stories of their former inhabitants. Thoroughbred Horse Farm.  Ever wonder how horses are raised, and how they are treated away from the track?  Saratoga Expeditions features guided tours of a horse farm, where you can learn about, pet, and even give a carrot or piece of candy to thoroughbreds. (View photos...)

Museums.  The National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame is to racing what the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown is to baseball.  Saratoga Expeditions would be glad to arrange your group’s visit to the nation’s premiere racing museum, located across the street from the Saratoga Racecourse.  Other Saratoga Springs museums include the National Museum of Dance, the Saratoga Automobile Museum, and the New York State Military Museum.
